Saturday Season Is Back on Old Main
Bradenton Public Market reopens Oct. 3 on Old Main Street, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Produce, bakers, makers, live music — and Village of the Arts ArtWalk a few blocks away the same weekend.
Summer took the market with it. Cooler air is bringing it back.
Realize Bradenton says the Bradenton Public Market — still the Saturday market a lot of us call the farmers market — returns to Old Main Street on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Discover Bradenton has the same window: every Saturday through May, free to walk, cash-friendly at a lot of stalls.
What you are actually walking into
Expect the usual honest mix: Florida produce, bakers, prepared food, honey and jam, makers with soaps and flowers, plus live music and free family stuff on the street. The Bradenton Gulf Islands listing puts it on Old Main from Manatee Ave down toward the parking garage. City Centre garage on 3rd Ave W is the free move if you do not want to circle.
The Youth Booth is open to K–12 makers who want a Saturday at a real table — no food or drinks in that booth, per Realize Bradenton's note. Apply through their Youth Booth link if your kid has been building something in the garage all summer.
Same weekend, a few blocks over
Village of the Arts ArtWalk is back that weekend too: Friday, Oct. 2, and Saturday, Oct. 3, both 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., theme "Fall in Love with Art." So you can do tomatoes at 9, galleries by noon, and pretend that was always the plan.
I will be the one who swore I was "just grabbing citrus" and somehow owns a candle, a loaf, and a story about a musician I cannot name.
