Five Saturday Lines, Three Parlays, Zero Guarantees
Kevin Keys digs into Saturday's college football slate with Florida teams first: verified spreads and totals from Friday morning, plus a safe two-leg, a medium three-leg, and one long shot that should stay a long shot.
Saturday is a long day. Your remote does not need a break. Your bank account might.
Lines below are from public odds boards Friday morning — Covers (updated about 8:49 a.m. ET) and CBS Sports. They move. Shop around. This is entertainment, not a tip sheet and not advice.
Five to look at
- UCF at Houston, noon ET — Knights +11.5, total around 50.5–51.5. Big number on the road. If you like underdogs who make you nervous for three hours, this is your aisle.
- Florida at Missouri, 3:30 p.m. — Gators roughly −4.5 to −5.5, Tigers +5.5, total 56.5–57.5. Road favorite in October. I am taking Missouri +5.5 and accepting that I will mutter at the TV either way.
- Virginia at Florida State, 3:30 p.m. — Cavaliers −2.5, Seminoles +2.5, total 51.5. A field-goal line in Tallahassee. FSU +2.5 is the home-dog play if you still believe in Doak after dark.
- Miami at Clemson, 7:30 p.m. — Hurricanes −15.5 to −16.5, total around 47. Laying more than two touchdowns on the road is how optimism meets a box score. Interesting game. Aggressive number.
- Temple at USF, 7:30 p.m. — Bulls −6.5, total around 48. Home favorite in Tampa. The cleanest "Florida team I can explain to a neighbor" side on the board.
Three parlays
Safe-ish two-leg: USF −6.5 + Michigan −5.5 at Minnesota (noon, total 43.5). Two favorites who are supposed to be favorites.
Medium three-leg: Missouri +5.5 + FSU +2.5 + UCF +11.5. Three dogs with Florida accents. Your Sunday brunch will have opinions.
Fun long shot: Miami −16.5 + Alabama −5.5 at Mississippi State (noon, total 60.5) + Notre Dame −21.5 at North Carolina (noon). If it cashes, buy something nice. If it does not, you already knew.
Gamble responsibly. 21+. Florida Council on Compulsive Gambling: 1-888-ADMIT-IT (1-888-236-4848). Entertainment only — not a guarantee.
